Visit to Chen & Chang, Attorneys-at-Law, Taipei

本日高啟中老師帶領同學參訪位於台北市金融區的眾才國際律師事務所。該事務所是臺灣首創以國際商務仲裁為業務重心的菁英型律師事務所，並致力於推動我國工商界對於仲裁制度的認識與利用。本次參訪由該事務所創辦人與主持律師之一的陳希佳博士親自接待，陳博士並以國際仲裁制度的發展，仲裁的重要原則與規範 (包括仲裁的種類、仲裁協議的擬定、仲裁人的選任、仲裁地的認定、仲裁判斷的救濟等)，以及仲裁程序的大致流程等議題進行講解，並與參訪同學進行熱烈交流。本次參訪歷時2小時，堪稱圓滿成功。

On 8 December 2025, Professor Kao led students on a visit to Chen & Chang, Attorneys-at-Law, located in Taipei’s financial district. The firm is Taiwan’s first elite law firm dedicated primarily to international commercial arbitration and is committed to promoting greater understanding and use of the arbitration system within Taiwan’s business community.

The visit was personally hosted by Dr. Helena Chen, one of the firm’s founders and managing attorneys. Dr. Chen provided an informative briefing covering the development of the international arbitration system, key principles and rules of arbitration—including types of arbitration, drafting arbitration agreements, appointment of arbitrators, determination of the seat of arbitration, and avenues for challenging or seeking relief from arbitral awards—as well as an overview of the general arbitration process. She also engaged in lively discussions with the visiting students. The two-hour visit concluded successfully and was considered a great success.
